Hydrography

HIPP is the commercial acquisition program that undertakes focused hydrographic survey activities to contribute to supporting national charting priorities.

The AHO is Australia's national hydrographic authority and provides Australia’s national charting service. We maintain a collection of current and historic hydrographic material covering Australia's waters.

We want to encourage the development and further use of our hydrographic information. To access, reproduce or publish AHO material you must have the Commonwealth's written permission and apply for permission via a licence agreement with us.

The AHO provides a range of Tidal and Geodetic products and services.

The AHSCP Scheme provides a formal framework for assessing and certifying hydrographic surveyors in Australasia against recognised competency standards, supporting consistent, high‑quality surveying across the region.
