Careers at the AHO

The AHO is made up of both military and civilian personnel working in a variety of technical and administrative fields.

  • Royal Australian Navy
    • Navy officers and sailors receive specialist training in the surveying ships and units of the Royal Australian Navy Hydrographic Service.
  • Australian Public Servants (APS)
    • Commonwealth Public Service are recruited and trained in a range of fields to enable them to compile, maintain, publish  and distribute Australia’s official charts and associated publications.
