Abstract:
BATHYMETRIC MAPS are designed to provide generalised detail of the seabed of the Continental Shelf as a base for offshore research, exploration, development and management. The maps are at a scale of 1:250000 and the standard sheet lines are 1deg latitude by 1deg 30mins longitude in extent. The depth range covered extends from 20m to 300m below Mean Sea Level and the bathymetry of the shelf is represented by isobaths (contours).
