Seafarer Tides 2010

12th February 2010 new

Help File update:

The following charts and their LAT to CD values were added to the help file: AUS 155 for Melbourne (60780).

The following charts and their LAT to CD values were amended in the help file: AUS 50 for Broome (62650) and AUS 144 for Port Phillip Head (60730).

Amendments of the LAT to CD values of the largest scale charts were made in the help file to the following three ports: Daru (Port 55440), Thilenius Harbour (Port 56150) and Lagrange Bay (62630).

    1. Please unzip “SFT2010_1.zip” directly into your Seafarer Tides 2010 installation directory, e.g. C:\Program Files\Seafarer Tides 2010. Remember to overwrite the old file.
    2. If you require any further assistance with the use of this Seafarer Tides update please contact the Product Delivery Section, Australian Hydrographic Office on Ph (02) 4223 6505 or email: hydro.sales@defence.gov.au


Seafarer Tides 2009

11th September 2009

  • 1. Download SFT2009_4.zip to your local drive, e.g. C:\
  • 2. Unzip the SFT2009_4.zip directly into your Seafarer Tides Installation Directory, e.g. C:\Program Files\Seafarer Tides 2009\ or
    Unzip SFT2009_4.zip to your local drive then copy and paste all files into your Seafarer Tides Installation Directory. Remember to overwrite the old files.
  • 3. Go to your Seafarer Tides Installation Directory and run
    “RegisterNewOcxFile.bat” by double clicking on it to register two system files, ettgraph.ocx and level.ocx. When prompted, click OK and then OK again.
  • 4. If you require any further assistance with the use of this Seafarer Tides patch please contact the Product Delivery Section, Australian Hydrographic Office on Ph (02) 4223 6505 or email: hydro.sales@defence.gov.au


Seafarer Tides 2008

Issue: Cannot read days on the month calendar, to select start date for prediction.

Option until fix issued: Use horizontal bar located on the bottom of the window to find the period of interest

  • Update 2
    (4 August 2005)

    Revised Hobart prediction datum for new chart AUS 172.

    Please unzip SFT2005_update2a.zip (05_61220.1) to the following default location:
    c:\program files\seafarer tides 2005\05_data1\

    Please unzip SFT2005_update2b.zip (05_61220.2) to the following default location:
    c:\program files\seafarer tides 2005\05_data2\

    Please unzip SFT2005_update2c.zip (Ett05.dat and ett.hlp) to the following default location:

  • Update 1
    (18 January 2005)

    Wallaroo prediction datum was changed to LAT for 2005 for a new chart that has not yet been released. Due to the chart not expected to be released for some months yet, predictions at existing chart datum are being released.

    The constituent files for Standard Ports Urangan, Port Giles, Broome, Jubilee Reef and Derby are corrupt and need to be replaced before Tidal Level and Zulu predictions are computed.

    The constituent files for Secondary ports Cape Ferguson, Lorne, Port Stanvac, Port Bonython, Hillarys and White Rocks are corrupt and need to be replaced before any Tidal predictions and Tidal Levels are computed.

    Please unzip SFT2005_update1a.zip to the following default location:
    c:\program files\seafarer tides 2005\05_data1\

    Please unzip SFT2005_update1b.zip to the following default location:
    c:\program files\seafarer tides 2005\05_data2\

    Please unzip SFT2005_update1c.zip to the following default location:
    c:\program files\seafarer tides 2005\05_ett\

 

  • Urgent Notice

    Some users of Seafarer Tides 2005 have experienced difficulties when attempting to obtain predictions for Port Bonython (Port Number 61837). Until the source of this problem can be identified it is recommended that predictions for Whyalla (Port Number 61840) be used instead.

    Some users of Seafarer Tides 2005 have experienced difficulties when attempting to obtain predictions for Cape Ferguson (Port Number 59260). Until the source of this problem can be identified it is recommended that predictions for Townsville (Port Number 59250) be used instead.

 



Seafarer Tides 2004

  • Patch 1

    Seafarer Tides 2004 - Port Lincoln and Port Hedland graphic display predictions are incorrect. The High/Low prediction values are correct.

    Please unzip the SFT2004_p1.zip to the following default location:
    c:\program files\seafarer tides 2004\04_data2\
